How do I tell the difference between mouse poop and rat poop?

Rat dropping will be noticeably larger than mouse droppings. Roof Rat droppings average 1/2 an inch with pointed tips, Norway Rat droppings are larger at 3/4 of an inch with rounded tips, while Mouse droppings average 1/4 inch with pointed tips.
